Technical Project Manager, Industrial Water Treatment, Denmark
Do you want to lead technically complex water projects that make a real environmental difference?
Together with internal/external partners you will lead technical solutions – individually designed to help customers solve their waste water problems.
As Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving wastewater and industrial water projects from early technical clarification and customer dialogue through design, permitting, implementation, commissioning, and ongoing service.
You will work with technically complex solutions such as new or expanded industry wastewater treatment facilities, pilot testing, technology selection, construction projects, and integration with existing industrial processes.
This role requires close collaboration with internal specialists, R&D, operations, suppliers, customers, and external authorities. You will be a key link between business needs, technical solutions, regulatory requirements, and practical execution.
Our Denmark HQ is located in Nyborg, but regular travel across Nordic sites and partner locations in Denmark should be expected.
You will lead wastewater projects, covering mechanical, biologic and chemical solutions – from the first dialogue to commissioning
As Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading wastewater and industrial water projects from early concept phase through design, implementation, commissioning, and operation.
Your key tasks will include:
• Planning and executing technical projects, including schedules, budgets, risk management, and progress follow-up
• Coordinating technical design of wastewater treatment solutions, including mechanical, chemical, and biological processes
• Assessing wastewater characteristics, capacity requirements, technology choices, pilot testing, and scalability
• Ensuring compliance with relevant environmental, health, safety, and permit requirements
• Contributing technical input to offers, business cases, and investment proposals
• Acting as a key interface between business development, engineering, operations, customers, suppliers, and authorities
A background from wastewater treatment/process industry
We imagine that you have an engineering background at MSc or BSc level within environmental engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, energy engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
You have experience managing technical plant, process, or industrial projects. Experience with wastewater, process water, industrial effluent, or related industrial processes is a strong advantage.
You bring strong technical understanding of treatment facilities and industrial processes, and you are familiar with structured project execution and project management tools. You are able to translate complex technical issues into clear decision material for different stakeholders.
Fluency in Danish and English — both written and verbal — is a prerequisite for this role.
Structured, solution-oriented and a strong communicator
You are structured, self-driven, and able to move complex projects forward. You combine technical insight with strong execution capability and know how to make progress in projects with many stakeholders and interfaces.
You communicate clearly across disciplines and are comfortable working with both technical specialists, operational teams, commercial stakeholders, customers, and authorities.
You have an analytical and solution-oriented mindset and thrive in a role where technical quality, business relevance, regulatory requirements, and practical implementation must come together.
